Job Description:
Stanley Street Treatment & Resources, Inc. (SSTAR) of Fall River, MA in conjunction with McLean Hospital and Harvard University, is seeking a highly motivated college graduate to work on a clinical research project on gender and substance abuse.
The Research Assistant will be in charge of coordinating activities of a research project investigating treatment outcomes in a clinical trial of group therapy for patients with substance abuse problems.
Specific responsibilities include subject recruitment, follow up, and assessment including conducting clinical interviews; collecting, entering, organizing and analyzing data; assisting in manuscript, grant, and IRB preparation; and performing administrative tasks. Research assistant might also help with coding group therapy session tapes, literature searches, and additional research projects.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to work in a research intensive setting for graduating seniors looking for clinical research experience before applying to graduate school in psychology (particularly clinical and counseling programs), the social sciences, or medical school.

Qualifications: BS OR BA
Sound independent judgment and competence in research methodologies.
Detail oriented - Familiarity with data analysis and SPSS - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
